Things I will never tell my children:
They're an embarrassment.
They're useless.
Its all their fault
You owe me.
You could stand to work out a little more
Did anyone teach you how to match clothing?
Your makeup makes you look like a hooker
Do not depend on other people. Do everything yourself.
You're a failure.
You're pathetic.
I will never say any of this to my kids. I would never be that un-supportive.
I will tell them, I love them, they're beautiful, and amazing. I will not accept bad from them, but will actually raise them to expect to do well. I will teach them passion for life and trust. I will teach them love and not try to rip them down when they do something wrong.
